SkydivingSomehow we watch the ground below us
Only one of us seems to tremble
Only one of us seems to be afraid
Only one of us sees the harm
There's one of them amongst us
Always, every time
Someone who has irrational moments
They think of all the bad endings
What if we fall off the brink?
What if we pass over where we want to go?
Why can't we understand what we feel?
What if they don't want to know?
They get a rumbling in their stomach
The butterflies become wasps
This person doesn't want to take the plunge
They want to stay where it's safe.
I don't think they've heard of it.
Haven't heard: No pain, no gain?
He's missing her though
You can see it in his dull green eyes
He doesn't want to move on
But he doesn't want to linger
An impossible choice for him to make
It's impossible to look both ways
It's impossible to smile and frown
It's impossible to go down two paths
It seems he's carrying his heart on his shoulders
Should he forget her and move forward?
What if the parachute doesn't deploy?
TypoTapping these keys
Makes the sound thunder
Makes me start to wonder
What am I doing here?
I feel so worthless
Glued to the screen
Like this is all I'm good for
This is my capacity
Can't be worth more than this
Such a sad soul am I
Through reddit I fly
VWW calls me, I don't stop to ask why
I stay up till dawn
Sometimes I pass on sleeping
I watch the sun rise
And start furiously typing
I'm just a typo
In a billion word essay of people
Or with grammar, appalling
I'm not pretty
I'm not a twig
I've never been kissed
can be fixed.
Housemates: The Perfect One
It was a typical spring afternoon in the small mountain suburb. Birds chorused in harmony from the tops of gum trees along with a vast array of fauna that bore the gleaming sun as the day grew late.
In one particular house, a certain young adult male struggled with his clip-on tie.
Jayden was in the bathroom preparing himself for the night ahead. Him and his three trusted friends were going out for dinner. It was some place Maya had suggested, no one else really agreed, but not one had dared to question her. That really was Maya, take no prisoners. And that was what he liked so much about her. She was beautiful, witty and most of all funny. Yes, perfect in every which way. As Jayden turned to leave the room he picked up a small rectangular object off the table and slipped it into his front pocket. Yes, definitely perfect.
Jayden opened the door and was confronted by the sight of Alice. She was wearing a sparkling red dress reminiscent of a Japanese Geisha. Maya sa
Housemates: Glue (JAYDEN SPECIAL)
It was a rainy morning. Exactly 10:47am, to be precise. 13 minutes until the first lunch-break of the day. A bored boy, with messy brown hair drummed his small fingers on the desk he was forced to sit in. School was a massive pain in the ass, even for the smart ones. At least, that was Jayden's theory. The teacher laboriously wrote some jargon on the whiteboard. Each squeak of the marker made Jayden twitch, just a little bit. It seemed before he could blink there were two minutes left on the clock, and his large brown eyes were locked on the minute hand.
That familiar tolling sound of the bell could be heard outside and the teacher laid her books down on her desk.
"Grades six and seven, you're dismissed." She called, much to the relief of everyone in the small classroom. The class only had maybe 30 students at most, a little more than half being grade sixes, the rest being grade sevens. Jayden was one of the latter. He scuffled through the human traffic to the bag racks, old trainers m
