"Of course it is, Maya." He whispered, stroking another strand of hair from her cheek, and tucking it behind her ear. Seeing this, Maya tensed, but tried furiously to relax herself. Although, relaxation came instantly as she felt his lips on her own. Instinctively, she pulled away.
"Sorry... I umm" Jayden mumbled, but was cut off.
"No, it's okay, really.." she replied, Her cool breath in his face. She stared deeply into him, shocked. A million thoughts raced through her head. His lips. Against hers. Had he always felt this way? In an impulsive movement, she placed her lips firmly with his once again. For one single moment, Jayden's heart lit up like the first star lights up the night sky. Maya then pulled away and stood back from him with a large grin on her face, still averting her eyes, cheeks red as cherries. Jayden just stood astonished with his eyes wide open, staring blankly at the space where she had just been, lips tingling. He felt confusion, amazement but prevailing over all; love.
